THE PROMISE IS NOT NEW
TWENTY YEARS OF WHATEVER IT TAKES
“Whatever It Takes to Build Great Futures” is not a slogan we wrote for an anniversary. It is the sentence at the top of our homepage, and it has been the working standard in four counties for twenty years.
Whatever it takes has meant staying open when it was hard to stay open. It has meant homework help, a hot meal, a safe room, and an adult who knew your name. It has meant 2,600 kids and teens in a single year, across Vance, Franklin, Granville and Warren. Twenty years in, the promise has not changed. What we are asking is that it not have to be renewed one crisis at a time.
THE FIRST TWENTY
A promise is only worth what is has survived. Here is what ours has.
Every year, we serve hundreds of young people across North Central North Carolina, providing them with opportunities to excel in school, develop leadership skills, and participate in sports and arts programs. The impact of our work is seen not just in individual achievements, but in the strength and vitality of our entire community.

THE ASK
$20 a month. For another 20 years.
Twenty dollars a month is the number this campaign is built on. Not because it is large, but because it is
repeatable — and repeatable is what lets a three-person office plan a year instead of surviving one.
